The analysis of the virus sent to us by our friends from safer-internet.gr is almost complete and we find that this is one of the most resistant Malware in circulation.
As the SecNews research team has determined, this is a very sophisticated form of virus that has been placed in a Greek hosting company, without the company's knowledge (which we suspect has fallen victim to hackers). SecNews is trying to contact the hosting company to determine if this is happening without their knowledge.
The virus, when executed, downloads a piece of microcode from the company's website and gives FULL REMOTE access to the user's computer.
Those who accidentally clicked on the link and unknowingly executed the software should restore their computer, possibly via FORMAT or a clean restore in Windows 8, as the virus appears to be particularly resistant and undetectable by antivirus or antimalware machines to this point.
