The ransomware attack on May 3 disabled Dallas city services for weeks and caused damage to equipment and software.
Since that day's incident, the city and cybersecurity experts have been conducting investigations. On Wednesday, Dallas' chief information officer will share the results of the internal investigation with city leaders.

According to the presentation, the hackers stole 1.2 terabytes of data from about 1,000 computers.
About 99% of the data has been recovered, but 100 servers have since been removed from the city's network.
The attack also exposed the personal information of at least 30,000 people. City officials believe that number could increase in the coming months.
The city of Dallas has allocated $8.6 million to cover credit monitoring services for victims and to enhance software security.

The Royal hacking group claimed responsibility, but it is not known what demands were made or whether they were met.
