A new report reveals the technology that will be used in both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 , as well as the anniversary iPhone. Specifically, Samsung Display has developed a new sensitive technology for OLED screens that will be incorporated into the new flagships.
This new technology has already been revealed during MWC exclusively to trusted partners. Rumors suggest that the technology on the Galaxy S8 will be limited to a virtual home button at the bottom of the screen. The button will open various apps as well as the menu.
Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 will feature the same technology across the entire screen, while the iPhone will feature a function area at the bottom of the screen.
This Samsung Display technology has previously been used in the Huawei P9 under the name Force Touch. It should be noted that the technology integrated into the new flagships will have higher sensitivity and a wider range of pressure levels compared to that used in the P9. So we can only wait for the official releases of the new flagships.
