MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner of Philips Displays, is introducing a new 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) display. The BDM3275UP – which at 32 inches represents a new size for Philips displays in this resolution – responds to the growing demand for ultra-high resolutions in comparatively mid-sized displays.
Users can look forward to 4K UHD clarity for detail-rich entertainment, such as movies and video games, as well as demanding office applications.
32 inches of excellent performance
With 3,840×2,160 pixels, UHD or 4K resolution packs four times the number of pixels per inch of a Full HD (1,920×1,080) display with four times the clarity. This latest 4K UHD (Ultra High Definition) model from Philips creates an even more complete range of ultra-high definition displays in various sizes, which already includes 28- and 40-inch models. Like the rest of the 4K series, the BDM3275UP is designed for an amazing viewing experience.
It offers rich 10-bit color support for natural, gradation-free color reproduction, Philips flicker-free technology for brightness adjustment and flicker reduction, and an advanced IPS-AHVA panel for ultra-wide 178-degree viewing angles so quality can be enjoyed from almost any angle, even from the side.
Commenting on the new 4K UHD monitor, Thomas Schade, Vice President EMEA at MMD, says, “The 32-inch UltraClear UHD monitor gives users such as graphic designers, architects and office workers even more options in mid-size displays with ultra-high resolution for their professional needs.
With its exceptional clarity, 4K UHD truly makes a difference in the viewing experience, maintaining stunning accuracy and detail even when users divide the screen into multiple areas. At 32 inches, the display is large enough to provide a great sense of space, yet discreet enough to leave plenty of desk space.”
Connect and enjoy without difficulty
With lightning-fast connectivity options including Display Port for data transfer speeds of up to 10.8 Gbps, MHL for streaming content from mobile devices (while charging the device at the same time), universal HDMI and USB 3.0, the new display allows users to connect high-bandwidth digital sources and enjoy uncompressed audiovisual content with zero refresh rate and dazzling UHD 4K clarity.
Built-in stereo speakers provide high-quality sound to complement the viewing experience. The display also features MultiView technology so users can simultaneously play content from two different sources (PC and notebook, for example) on separate sections of its surface. Thanks to the pixel-rich UltraClear 4K resolution, each section constantly maintains its sharpness and brightness.
Comfort at work
With the ability to enjoy excellent viewing quality, users may be forced to spend more time at their desks. So, to reduce the risk of fatigue, the monitor features a Smart ErgoBase that allows it to tilt, swivel and lower to desk level for a comfortable viewing angle.
The monitor stand keeps cables organized, reducing the clutter they could cause on your desktop.
Philips' new 32-inch 4K display is already available with an indicative retail price of €1099.
