Facebook has removed a restriction for users under 18 that allowed them to share their posts only with their friends and not with the entire network, according to a Reuters report.

The social network said teens will now be able to change their settings and share their data with the public. Until now, a teen's posts on Facebook were only visible to their friends and their friends' friends.
Facebook announced late yesterday that the default setting is no longer in effect .
"Teens using social media are quite aware, and all their posts about political engagement, activism, or their thoughts on a new movie can now be heard," Facebook announced.
