We've said it many times, no lies. What has characterized Apple is the fact that its technology products are primarily sold from their "home". That is, from Apple stores.
Steve Jobs' idea of creating retail stores that house all of the company's products, reflect its philosophy, and manage its physical contact with the consumer has proven to be extremely profitable. Apple's profits prove it.
According to 9to5Google, the Mountain View company is preparing to open its first standalone, physical stores relatively soon. The Google Stores. These won't be ChromeZones, the corners that Google has installed in various department stores in the US and UK. We're talking about independent Google stores, where one will be able to find the Nexus series products, as well as the Chromebooks that are on sale.

The reason, however, that Google wants to create stores and is not satisfied with Google Play, is one: Google Glasses. A product so innovative and so “expensive” cannot be sold exclusively through an e-shop. Google needs to show it, to explain it, to sell it. Unlike many other companies, Google knows that “hype” is not enough to sell computers that one can wear, even more so when one will be asked to pay $1500 for them. Or even less. Google will create its own culture and market, as it has done with advertising.
So get ready for Google Stores.
