Sony its latest two smartphones, the Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact, during IFA 2016 and it looks like pre-orders in Europe have already begun. Customers from Europe will also be able to get the Sony MDR-XB950BT headphones for free with every pre-order of the Xperia XZ.
Sony's MDR-XB950BT headphones are priced at around £150, but customers who have already pre-ordered the Xperia XZ will be able to get them for free. The promotion, which was first spotted by Xperia Blog, is available in several European countries, including the UK, Germany, Italy, Poland and Sweden.
However, this offer comes with a condition – customers from the UK must place their orders by October 5, while customers from the rest of Europe must do so by October 10. The price of the phone varies depending on the retailer and country.
In the UK, fans can buy the phone for £500 from Carphone Warehouse or £500 from Clove. The smartphone is priced at around $786 in Italy and Germany, $822 in Sweden and $772 in Poland.
Sony has announced that the Xperia XZ will be available in three colors, Forest Blue, Mineral Black , and Platinum .
The smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p Full HD display with 3GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 820 processor. It also features a 23MP rear camera with f/2.3 aperture and fast capture. In addition, the device is equipped with a 13MP front-facing camera and 64GB of internal storage.
The battery capacity reaches 2,900mAh with Quick Charge and a fingerprint scanner is integrated into the Home button. The internal memory can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD.
Apparently, Sony will make the Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact available in the US as well, but these two variants will not feature the fingerprint scanner.
