The next-generation CarPlay is a long-awaited update that Apple users have been eagerly awaiting.
Although the Apple Car dream has faded, Cupertino may be unveiling its vision for an Apple vehicle.

It was introduced a few years ago, and it looks like iOS 18.2 could finally support this experience. Along with some redesigned icons discovered by MacRumors in the latest beta, the publication also found images filed in the EU by Audi that show what the next-generation CarPlay will look like in their cars.
Interestingly, while Audi said in June 2022 that it planned to offer this experience, we still haven't heard anything concrete from the automaker. However, images discovered by MacRumors contributor Aaron Peris reveal integration between Apple CarPlay and vehicle features like seat adjustment and climate control.
These images aren't too different from what we've seen in the past, but with Apple confirming that the first vehicles with next-generation CarPlay will "launch in 2024," an announcement can be expected in the coming weeks with the release of iOS 18.2 to all users.

By the end of 2023, Aston Martin and Porsche have announced plans to integrate the next-generation CarPlay design into their cars, but they have yet to launch new vehicles that support this feature.
