In a blog post on Tuesday, Google announced: “Starting today, .meme domains are available for registration during the Early Access Period (EAP) for an additional fee.”
Users who don't want to pay the extra cost can wait until they become publicly available on December 5. Google has said that the fee will gradually decrease each day leading up to December 5. On December 5, at exactly 16:00 UTC, .meme domains will become publicly available, at an annual price, through the registrar of their choice.
