THQ Nordic has announced that The Valiant will be released on Xbox Series X|S next month, offering us a tactical RTS game set in medieval Europe and the Holy Land.

Valiant puts you in the shoes of a former crusader as he and a band of loyal warriors attempt to stop a threat to humanity. The tactical RTS game will feature a 15-mission single-player campaign, a dedicated co-op , and PvP when it launches on July 11 for Xbox Series X|S.
During The Valiant, we'll help Theoderich and his band of warriors stop the villain Ulrich von Grevel from destroying medieval Europe and the Holy Land with the Rod of Aaron, a powerful object containing "unimaginable unholy power." As our warriors overcome each threat, their experience and strength will increase, granting us unique skills as we strategically deploy them on the battlefield through tactical RTS gameplay. In addition to the single-player campaign, The Valiant features PvP battles to prove your worth as a knight, as well as the Last Man Standing co-op mode, in which you and two other players join forces to fend off armies of enemies.

Follow the story of Theoderich von Akenburg, a former crusader knight who, disillusioned by the harshness of war, is called back into action by events that began 15 years ago when he and his former comrade, Ulrich von Grevel, stumble upon a broken piece of an ancient artifact – the Rod of Aaron. A young monk named Malcom appears on Theoderich’s doorstep, bringing him news that the Rod contains power never intended for mortals, and Ulrich has become obsessed with finding the remaining pieces and reuniting the rod, an event that could bring untold evil and suffering to the world.
Theoderich takes on the mission to locate the remaining relics to keep them away from Ulrich and embarks on a journey that will take him across Europe and the Middle East. During his journey, he will meet many other warriors who will decide to join his cause, from the elderly and experienced Reinhard von Kempten of the Teutonic Order to the ambitious young mercenary Grimhild Eidottr and her Company of Ravens, each joining for different reasons, but slowly they form bonds that will last through the trials and tribulations that will come.”
The Valiant launches on Xbox Series X|S in July for $24.99 / £19.99 / €24.99.
