Microsoft adds a new game duration feature to PC Game Pass, so players can see how many hours it will take to complete a game.

The time it takes to complete a game can vary greatly, so Microsoft partnered with HowLongToBeat to offer the most accurate prediction. There are actually up to four playtimes listed per title, offering a prediction for main story, main story and extras, completionist, and all styles.

The different time assessments are broken down as follows:
- Main Story: complete only all required main objectives to see the game titles.
- Main Story + Extras: main objectives and all additional tasks/missions/medals.
- Completionist: when you do everything in a game and achieve 100% completion.
- All Styles: a combination of all the playing styles listed above to give an average.
PC Game Pass also includes a “View Details” link that allows you to submit your own playtimes and make predictions more accurate. There are also links to community reviews, playthrough notes, and further data analysis for each game on the service.

In addition to introducing the game duration prediction feature, Microsoft has also released an update to the Xbox app on PC that allows it to load 15% faster. Users should also notice that the latest version is more responsive, search results appear up to 20% faster, game download or installation failures have been reduced “nearly in half,” and error-free sessions have reached a rating of 99.9%.
