Windows 10 Creators Update what will happen on April 5, 11, and 25

The upcoming release of Windows 10 Creators Update (also known as Redstone 2) is just around the corner, but Microsoft tends to release new versions of its operating system in waves, so not everyone will be able to upgrade on the same day.

The Windows 10 Creators Update will actually be released on three different dates, all in April, although no one can guarantee that you will be able to upgrade this month.

Of course, you will be able to perform the upgrade manually, without waiting to see it in Windows Update, starting next week.

But let's look at the three different release dates and what will happen:

April 5

We know from previous posts that on April 5th, Microsoft will officially release the Windows 10 Creators Update, and those who want to install it manually will be able to do so from the ISOs that the company will make available. Microsoft will make available the Update Assistant, an application that will check your computer for compatibility issues and then download and install the new version.

This method is obviously aimed at experienced users, although if someone clicks Next a few times they will be able to upgrade their system.

April 11

Then, starting April 11th, Microsoft will start making the Windows 10 Creators Update available through Windows Update. From that day on, you will be able to see a new version of the operating system from Windows Update and proceed with the installation process automatically.

You should be aware that Microsoft will be releasing the Windows 10 Creators Update through Windows Update in stages, which means that not everyone will download it on day one. In other words, it could take days, weeks, or even months for that to happen.

According to the company, new computers will be the first to receive the update, and Microsoft explains that the rollout of the new operating system could take several months until all devices are upgraded.

April 25

On April 25th, Microsoft will give the green light for updates to Windows 10 mobile devices.

Just like with personal computers, the installation will take place in stages, but this time it all depends on many other factors, such as the region and telephone providers.
