Oracle has announced the availability of two new maintenance updates for its open-source and cross-platform VirtualBox software, versions 5.1.8 and 5.0.28.
VirtualBox 5.1.8 contains bug fixes and improvements for all supported platforms, including GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows.
Indicatively, the new version supports the use of Audio Queues for Mac OS X hosts, the ability to parse port-forwarding rules containing slashes, better keyboard handling for Windows and Mac OS X computers, as well as improved support for deleting snapshots.
VirtualBox 5.1.8 also fixes the initialization of SAS controllers, adds Python 3, and provides improved support for Linux kernels 4.8 and 4.7.
