The Windows 10 Anniversary Update, also known as Redstone 1, is the next major update to Microsoft's operating system, which will be released on August 2 for PCs and mobile devices.
What the company didn't mention, and it's important to note, is that the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary Update will be rolled out gradually, and won't be distributed to everyone at the same time.
Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider program, explained in a post that some users will be disappointed not to get the Anniversary Update on August 2, because the entire process will be completed gradually.
Of course, Insiders will be the first to receive the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, but for now the company has not mentioned what the final build number will be or the date it will be released.
What we do know, however, is that the company's developers are in the final stages of development of the Anniversary Update and if all goes according to plan, the RTM will appear in the coming weeks.
