Mac users interested in VR will likely need to buy a PC. In a recent interview, Oculus founder Palmer Luckey said the company would support Macs if Apple ever releases a “good computer.”
It sounds impressive, but these are the features or specs of Apple computers.
Luckey says: The problem is that Apple is not prioritizing high-end GPUs.
You can buy a $6,000 Mac Pro with the top-of-the-line AMD FirePro D700, and it won't be compatible with our recommended specs.
On the contrary, you can find much cheaper Windows computers, with very high GPU. Here we should mention that Oculus is owned by Facebook, and that Microsoft owns 1.6% of Facebook….
Mr. Palmer Luckey also mentioned that if Apple adds high-end GPUs in the future, Oculus would happily support OS X.
However, this doesn't seem to be Apple's primary concern. Let's see..
