Following the example of Facebook Messenger, Google is officially launching the web version of the Hangouts service (available at hangouts.google.com) from which you can continue communicating with your contacts normally through text messages, calls and video calls.
“We’re launching a new way to use Hangouts. The new website will allow you to take advantage of the best features of Hangouts right in your browser, while displaying a new image in the background every day.
Message a friend or start a group chat with up to 100 people! Say more using photos, maps, emoji, stickers and GIFs. Call or video chat with up to 10 people for free and stay in sync with the corresponding apps for Android and iOS
Another website, a service from Google. Google Hangouts finally got its own page: hangouts.google.com
The website is a complete web client application that will give you access to all the features of Google Hangouts, including voice and audio calls.
If you've already used Hangouts in Gmail, the interface seems to be largely similar, with the main difference being a larger contact list and a randomly selected wallpaper.
Previously, the only official way to access your PC was through a Chrome extension, a Chrome , or through another Google service, like Gmail or Google+.
The new web app will help you connect to Hangouts from all your platforms.
So from today you can enjoy the Hangouts service via a web interface.
