Citrix: Wearables let you watch conference calls, 'while putting a baby to sleep'

citrix

Citrix decided that Android wearable device users would want to join conference calls, so it configured its GoToMeeting app to work with the wearable kits.

The updated app can be found here.

Citrix claims that the app is a good idea because you can “exercise while you are in a meeting”.

Which sounds like it will work very well, given that excessive flattery within a conversation with a client is generally considered... excellent customer service.

Citrix suggests that you can “Listen to a session while rocking your baby to sleep – no need to search your pockets for your phone.”

Have these people ever tried to put a baby to sleep? They don't know that closing a car door, a mile away, can cancel an hour of attempts to induce sleep? (Judging by the author's youthful appearance, who is responsible for the position, no).

The latest advantage that Citrix offers for the app is that “now, you’ll feel like a super-cool spy».

The idea behind wearables seems to be that watches are even more familiar compared to mobile phones. Someone wears a watch everywhere and it is, therefore, a convenient way to grab a snack while receiving information, or it is a useful smaller device for collecting data during activities such as exercise.
