OTE informs the public that malicious electronic e-mails ( phishing e-mails) are being sent which show OTE as the sender and with the (possible) subject: “ Mailbox warning notice ”.
This malicious message "informs" users that they have exceeded their mailbox storage limit, and urges them to upgrade their account by following the link corpmail-otenet-gr.webs.com, to fill out a form with their personal information, while warning them that if they do not proceed with the "upgrade" within 24 hours, they will lose their account.
OTE recommends that the public ignore these or other similar messages, as they have no connection with the company or its services, come from malicious third parties and are intended to cause damage to their recipients. For the safety of users, in the event of receiving this or any other malicious or suspicious email requesting personal information, OTE recommends that subscribers do not take any of the actions prompted by the messages, even if OTE appears to be the sender.
In case they enter personal information on a similar website, OTE urges users to immediately change their passwords. In addition, they can forward the misleading email with its full headers to the address:abuse@ote.gr
