Russian billionaire spends $100 million on Apple shares

Russia

Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov recently revealed that he spent $100 million on Apple shares, believing he would make a big profit from them in the near future.

Usmanov, according to Bloomberg, is currently ranked 35th among the richest people in the world, with a successful investment in Facebook and a total fortune of $19.8 billion. He has made similar large investments in Alibaba and the Russian company Mail.ru.

"I believe the company has a lot of future ahead of it even after the death of Steve Jobs," he revealed to Bloomberg and then said, "If a company like Apple has a drop in its stock, then maybe it's the best time for someone to buy its shares since it will soon recover and soon the investor will make big profits."

"I believe in the future of this company even after Steve Jobs," Usmanov said during an interview with Bloomberg. "When the company lost $100 billion of its market value, it was a good time to buy its shares, as the capitalization should rebound."
